Thank you for choosing TAPPIE. In just a few minutes you’ll have your NFC contact tag ready to help someone reach you if your child ever needs assistance.

Before You Start

Three quick things to have ready.

1. Smartphone - An NFC enabled iPhone or Android phone - most modern phones work
2. Internet Connection - Only needed once, which you set up the tag
3. Your TAPPIE - pop your TAPPIE on the desk in front of you

Step 1 - Download NFC Tools

The free app we use to talk to your TAPPIE.

Install the free NFC Tools app on your phone — it’s the only thing we use during setup.

The app is completely free.

Step 2 - Open NFC Tools

Tap two buttons - that's it.

Tap Write

Tap Add a Record

Step 3 - Add Your Emergency Contacts

This is the most important bit - keep it simple and clear.

In the app, choose “Contact” and create one record containing the essentials. You can include anything that would help someone reach you.

Parent / Guardian Name
Primary Phone Number
Secondary Phone Number (optional)
Medical Notes — allergies, conditions (optional)
Emergency Contact (optional)

Step 4 - Write the Information to TAPPIE

1. Press “Write” in the app.
2 Hold your phone flat against the TAPPIE.
3 Wait for the success message.

Step 5 - Test It

Take it for a quick spin.

1. Lock your phone.
2 Tap your TAPPIE with your NFC phone (or any other NFC enabled phone).
3 Your saved contact details should appear automatically.

If they do… you’re all set! 🎉
